2017 Buick Encore: Should I trade it?

I own a 2017 Buick Encore with 27,254 miles on it. I was driving it home one day and the mileage screen and the gauges went black for about 10 seconds. I was still able to drive it, and it came back up and it reappeared. I looked online to see if other people had the same issue and I found one question in a forum and they went back to the dealer and the dealer told them it was normal. That it was a computer glitch. What would you suggest to do. It has not done it again but I am just concerned about the future. I bought the car new right off the Buick dealer lot in 2017.

If I decide to trade it which do you suggest getting a 2022 Toyota Tacoma, a 2022 Chevy Colorado, or a 2022 Nissan Frontier. Both the Tacoma and the Colorado has an I4 motor in them. Do you suggest either.

Thanks

If you trade it, the Tacoma would be my vote.

The Encore's were the cheapest, smallest SUV Buick offered and there were many issues with them. It sounds to me like there is a loose connection in the dash going to the cluster. Fixing it would mean pulling the cluster.

The dealership is wrong: the cluster going out is not normal.

Thanks for the response. I am looking at a very bare bone 2022 tacoma. but I am also looking at a Colorado, due to my dad worked for GM for almost 30 years.

The new GM light duty trucks have all kind of problems, you can't compare them with the much better trucks they made 30 years ago.

See video below by Master Mechanic and shop owner The Car Wizard:  you do not want to own the Buick Encore long term, esp. out of warranty.

Right now is also a crazy time to get a vehicle, especially a CUV/SUV or truck.  Of those you mention I would only consider the Tacoma but those are hard to get esp. at MSRP.  Does it have to be a pickup truck?

Daywalker thanks for your answer to my question. Yes unfortunately it needs to be a pickup truck. I am over 6 foot tall and cars are just simply too low for me to get in and out of. My encore was decent in that regard but I aggravated my back in Jan 2021 and my 2002 GMC Sierra was the only vehicle that I could get in and out of with ease.
