Good day, Scotty,
This is P-L-R-X (PLRX) from California. Have you seen the new K&N product, Motor oil?
Thank you for your time,
PLRX

Maybe the Amazon basics oil is ok, but I would prefer to get an oil from a well stablished company considering the fact that the price is not that much different. Regarding the new oil from K&N, if the price is not outrageously expensive, it may deserve a try but on the other hand, I'm not sure if this can be a considerable improvement for your engine if you change your oil every 5k miles.
Wow, thank you for sharing this. I'm really interested to know...would any of you on this forum try their new oil?
I have always been using Liqui Moly oil for my BMW because of their strict quality standards (and because they make great oils for European engines). So far it looks like they don't have a European formula oil yet.
Interesting to see K&N branch off but I would like to see a live lubricity test and a freeze and hot runner test to see vapor evap. If it's as good or better than amazon basics I wouldn't mind since it's not a ridiculous K&N air filter price LOL
@bruceree
Oh the amazon basics oil is really absurd in my opinion, and I would actually trust the K&N oil over amazon basics oil. Only because K&N is already in the car business. Amazon is getting in everyone's business lol.
I only use them on my cheap cars lol, regards the way I found out about em was from a video from project farm on youtube lol they honestly don't seem half bad I mean besides being amazon
Naw, any sn+ syn proper weight (well maybe not any but top brand names, I use Penzoil these days cause it's a bit cheaper my location, else used mobil one... shoot, probably over 20 years since I used anything different on my stuff... Used Amsoil previous to that (before SN+ and oils came up in quality considerably since then!)
If you’ve been using Liquid-Moly why would you consider changing to K&N oil? Before you change I’d ask Project Farm on YouTube to test it against other oils. I use nothing but Amsoil in ALL my cars, lawn mowers, edgers, 2 stroke weed eater and 2 stroke blower. I still change my vehicle oil and filter every 5000 miles even though the manufacturer say 10,000. In my opinion a $60 oil change every 6 months or 5000 miles is about the most cost effective insurance you can get.
Never said I would change to K&N...just asked for your opinions on their new release of oil.
