Hello,
I have a 01’ Dodge Ram 1500 (5.9L) that has been giving me some trouble. When I first start up my truck the battery gage shows the voltage is around 14V. But when I drive it around for a few minutes, if I come to a stop the needle starts to drop and when I drive again the needle goes back up. Do you think I have a bad alternator? I haven’t gotten it tested so I’m just trying to see where to start. I would greatly appreciate any help you it’s this.

Well odds are you either have a weak battery, loose connections on the battery terminals, or the alternator is bad. So I have the battery and alternator tested first
