I found an 01 prelude for sale

2001 Honda Prelude

Clean title

186xxx miles

H22A4

Automatic

A/c blows cold

Heater works

New battery

New NGK spark plugs

Fresh oil and Oil filter

Fresh Coolant

New radiator cap

New thermostat

New temperature sensor

New air filter plus AEM intake

New cabin air filter

New muffler (quiet)

Has quick release NGK steering wheel

Sunroof works & door windows work

Bad:

Does have a minor oil leak, nothing crazy, might be oil pan not sure, I haven’t had the time to look.

Power steering crys when cold start and goes away. I have an extra P/S pump just haven’t installed it.

Transmission shifts a bit hard when cold start, & goes away once warmed (shifts normal once’s warmed up)

Needs a transmission fluid flush. Not sure when’s the last time it had one.

Car is lowered on lowering sleeves

Has avid 1’ wheels 17inch

Paint is alright, has flakes in it

Interior is in good condition, no rips, just needs a wash

Is it worth it for $4000.00?

Just walk away Renee.  It sounds like someone wants you to pay them $4000 for all the mistakes they made - oil leak, trans problems, PS noises, lowering kit, 20 years old.  Who knows what else lurks beneath?

I would look at something else. A vehicle like this is not worth $4k. You also mentioned a transmission fluid change. With that mileage, you would not even touch the fluid if you don't know the history.
