I have a 01 jetta gls with the 1.8 awd code motor and was wondering how long the turbo usually last it has 150k on it now and I also noticed a simi huge drop in gas mileage and only code is lamba sensor bank one im gonna replace it Sunday but could that be the problem?

Old age is generally the problem to cause that but you're probably on the end of the lifespan of the turbo relatively soon. If you could get any serious money I'd sell it now but if not heck I drive it till it drops realize 20-year-old jet is worth almost nothing
