Hey Scotty, hope you are doing well. My name is Jesus. I’m reaching out in hopes to find what the problem is to my 2001 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L V4 truck codes. Codes P0441 and P0446 pop up in the OBD scanner. First thing I did was replace the gas cap but that was not the issue. I took it to the mechanic and he said the issue was the air vapor canister after running tests. So I replaced the canister. But that did not do the trick, the same codes reappeared. I do not know what to do. Can you help me? Thank you!
What gas cap did you use? Also was charcoal canister?
There could also be a leak in the evap system, or the purge valve solenoid.
You should smoke test your evap system. You can be there's deterioration in rubber hoses and other parts over the last 23 years.
