Hi Scotty!Β

Love your videos!😎🤘

I have an 01 Toyota Celica 1ZZ-FE with 233,xxx miles on it and still runs! Recently I've been trying to fix a P0171 lean code. Spark plugs looked okay as of a month ago, ignition coils have been replaced a few months ago, I've replaced the intake gasket, and haven't found an air leak source elsewhere but maybe I'm missing one somewhere 🤷🏻‍♀️. O2 sensors are both fluctuation between .01v-.9vs, I've cleaned the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner, changed the PVC and have gotten new tires. I think it's an fuel issue problem. I've also got a P0420 cat code. How likely is it that a clogged cat would cause a back pressure that would be throwing of the system? 🤔 How would I check that?Β  The car runs smooth as cruising and coasting but shakes, struggles/hesitatesΒ  and has "bucked". The worst it shakes is between 55mph -75mph. Once I got new tires the shaking felt more refined to the front of the car. No issues or clicking noise turning or braking. Car runs fine at idle but does idle funny in reverse and shakes sounds like a sputter like it might die if I don't give it gas. Planning to have a fuel pressure test done, injectors cleaned and a compression test since I know the piston rings are know for being a problem so maybe with the milles my engine is on its way out😭🤦. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks! 🙂

Forgot to mention I've also cleaned the throttle body and IAC valve.

Took the car to a local mechanic. He did a compression check and that was fine. He tested the voltage on the spark plug from the cylinder that was misfiring. The spark plugs looked okay to the eye but when doing an ohms test the spark pug was dead, no readings. The other spark plugs he said did look white or "lean". So we replaced all the spark plugs and then took the car for a test drive. Still had a cylinder 4 misfire. Then he looked at the fuel injectors and they were cracked. He swapped #3 and for #4.Β  Took it for a test drive. Cylinder #3 misfire now and sometimes cylinder #4. So now the plan is to replace the fuel injectors. Once that is done he said when will go from there to see if that fixes the vehicle shaking and misfiring. He said it's also possible the shaking is coming from cv axels but we will know more once we test the car after replacing the fuel injectors.Β

The clock cat couldn't he do that but it can be pressure tested have a mechanic pressure test it was his gauge first. Something that simple

Hey Scotty thanks for the reply!!!!
I ran my "fixed" app scan tool on the car while it was doing the shake and I got the code P0304 cylinder 4 misfire. So now I have a total of 3 codes: P0171, P0304, P0420. What's your advice on how to tackle this?
