Is it expensive and wise to engine swap a '03 Celica gt with k20 or just a gts engine. What are some things I should also check for before buying the Celica (150k miles)

I would not even go near that car to begin with.
The engine used in that car is known for oil sludge related issues and swapping out a motor for something different takes a lot of work including: making sure that the engine fits in the engine bay and making sure that the transmission bolts on it correctly.
