1999 Celica Alternator Connector

Hey Scotty + community!!

I recently bought a 1999 Toyota Celica convertible with 131,000 miles and a manual transmission. Best car ever made!! My alternator tested badly so I replaced it, where I realized the alternator connector, the three pronged one with the pigtail that plugs into the alternator itself, the plastic part that holds the three prongs had broken and the previous owner rigged it up with electrical tape!! I was wondering where would be the best place to find a replacement connector as I think the previous owners solution is short term. Let me know what you think of the linked product, if you think it’s the correct fit, and what the repair might entail if you don’t mind!! As someone whose just learning about cars and having a lot of fun working on this one any help or expertise is appreciated, thanks everybody so much :))

as long as the housing is the same, you can extract the wire terminals from your broken connector and clip them into the new one. Usually you need a thin needle-like tool.

@imperator I may have been a bit unclear, my mistake. The housing is actually missing, I assume the previous owner had it crack/break so they just threw it out and basically taped the terminals in such a way that they are connected, but have no housing. Meaning I don’t really know what the housing looked like originally, I’m struggling to differentiate between the connecter that is on the alternator itself, and the one that I need that connects to the alternator.

there should be an image of it in the service manual (charm.li) Typically the accessory (alternator in this case) will have the male side, and the female side is on your harness.
