[Solved] ‘04 Cadillac CTS reliability?

Hey so a distant relative of mine just sold me his 2004 Cadillac Cts 3.6L for 1k$ it has 198,000 miles on it (crazy for a cadillac) and after some scans the codes that came up were: P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire), P0451 (fuel tank pressure sensor performance), P0442 (evaporative emission control system leak detected), and the gas gauge constantly reads empty even when full. I’m surprised these are the only codes that came up on such a used american 16 yr old luxury car, the misfire is just from the long term use, so just routine need for some spark plug changing and all, the other issues i think would go hand in hand with some repairs, that all shouldn’t cost too much. i have this feeling that it’ll last me a fair amount more, i’ve already driven like 650 miles with it before scanning (i was excited throughout the weeks to use it sorry haha)

I am confused.  I see a bunch of statements, but no questions.  Do you got this or do you need the community’s help?

Seems like they just wanted to share the purchase and issues they believe are easy to fix. I was confused as well as there wasn't anything in the post to really answer.

Oops sorry, i kinda just wanted some thoughts or insight onto how long the car might end up lasting without spending too much money on it

I wish you the best of luck.

200k on an '04 CTS.

Have you thought about what your next car might be?

i definitely wanna get a toyota camry in these next couple months, as a daily driver and i guess the cadillac would be there to drive every now and then, as much as it can get me without needing much spending

The GM 3.6 engine has been known for timing chain problems. I don't know if yours is one of those affected but you may want to look into that. Definitely keep the oil clean and at the proper level. (Of course that should be done in any event.)
