After my truck hit 100,000 roughly it would knock for a while after staring it up, some times it blows a cloud of smoke when first started also. After 5 - 10 minutes the knocking goes away. I took it in to gm dealer and they said if noise goes away after 5 minutes they won't do anything about it. it was still under extended warranty.
whats causing this?

how to tell if your head gasket is blown.if it is film the test and make them fix it free but really never buy another one of their crap products that's how you get even with scum bag companies like GM

I agree, when i look for another truck, it will be a Ford or Toyota.
