05 Honda Element odd transmission issue

My parents have a 2005 Honda Element with an Automatic and about 330,000 miles. The transmission works pretty good other than an issue that has only happened a few times. Around March 2020, the transmission started to slip while driving. After the vehicle was restarted, it ran fine. It didn't do it again until just recently. The transmission would slip and after the vehicle was restarted, it would go back to normal. It has done this 2 or 3 times in the past few days. What is causing this?

Likely wear and tear. Have you been changing the fluid on time?

At that age and mileage, I am not surprised you're getting some slip.

No.
Why would it slip and after being shut off and restarted, work fine? Would it be some kind of electronic issue?

No, the fluid hasn't been changed or no, you don't think that at 300k+ miles you are seeing wear and tear? I'm not hearing anything that makes me think it's an electrical issue.

I would drain 1 quart of the trans fluid and put in some lucas stop slip in the trans
