As it says in the title, my car starts just fine when the engine is cold and I don't have any problems once it's running, but when warmed up I have to crank it over a while before it eventually starts. Yesterday I left it in the "on" position for about a minute and it started up right away. I'm going to replace the fuel filter since I'm not sure the last time the previous owner replaced it, but could it be the fuel pump going bad?
It could be. You could always pressure test it to find out for sure.
I'd also check the fuel injectors and make sure you don't have any that are clogged.
So far the new fuel filter fixed the problem but I'll update if it occurs again. I'm going to put in some fuel injector cleaner just for added measure. Thanks for the advice though
If these are the original 21 year old fuel injectors, I would seriously consider replacing them.
