Hello
I have a 06 Toyota Avalon automatic with 168555 miles on it, i just ask in just answer web site and they just told me that the inmovilizer had to be reset with a code from Toyota , so i took it to the dealer and reset it but still will not start , the dealer wanted to change the coil and the plugs and gave a estimate of over 2000 .00 so i call the tow truck and it has been sitting on the parking lot since the now it will start but it will die. Any ideas?

How old is the fuel filter? (Hopefully not 16 years old.) Air filter? Was fuel pressure checked?

I'm with @chucktobias.
Try some starter fluid. If you can keep the car running by that, then the fuel delivery system is the issue. Do you have any check engine light?
