I have a 06 chrysler pacifica touring with a 3.6l v6. Automatic transmission and over 200000 miles on it. Only check engine codes are for a loose gascap. When i crank my car in the morning when its kind of chilly out, it slips out of gear when i pull up to a stop sign. I give it a small review and it slams back into gear but when I've been driving it a for about 5 minutes or so it doesn't do it anymore and shifts normal. Please help

What are all of the codes that you got on the vehicle?

P0137 is the only code that comes up. It is for the 02 sensor. The dash says gascap so that's why I said loose gascap.

P0137 is 02 Sensor Circuit Low voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2.

Check the rear heated oxygen sensor for Bank 1 and see if it's gone bad. Sometimes it may be bad fuel injectors. I would check to see if you are getting any leaks on that car.

I have checked for leaks and have done a compression test and everything is sealed up good. The tranny fluid is a nice reddish pink and the level is in the correct zone. I just don't know why it is slipping out of gear in the morning until it warms up

If you are not getting any transmission codes, then check it out with a mechanic. You said it slips, drop one quart of the automatic transmission fluid and put in one quart of Lukas anti-slip transmission fluid for now. Sometimes transmission fluid will boil if one of the sensors gets too hot.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info.
