Got a Friend selling his 06 Mazda 6 sedan with 175000 miles. One owner well kept. All maintenance paperwork included. How long do these last he wants $ 2000 for it

Too many miles and too old for me. If it was a made in Japan manual transmission with lower miles then I would consider it.

Without knowing too much about the exact car, this is how I would go about it.
If it has a Mazda engine, an Aisin transmission, and made in Japan, I’d go for it. $2000 seems a little much though.
If it has a Ford engine, a Jatco or Ford/Mazda transmission, or made outside Japan, I’d pass.
That generation came with either a 4 or 5 speed auto, 4 speed made by Ford and the 5 speed made by Jatco. The engine is a 2.3 L MZR L3 I4.
The sticker in the door jam says made in USA
