  • Scott and Team... please accept apologies for reposting but I am so panicked I made the mistake of making Help my first word in the last post. Frm NJ. TX frm 1978-2019 and back in NJ again. Scotty please help me... On 5/8, I borrowed my friends (out of town on family emergency) 06 Toy Solara w/o permission - 98K mi, 4 cyl?, very well kept. I didn't realize it was overheated until a smell (plasticky) woke me up to look at dials - needle was past red line. I shut it off immediately. Oil dip stick - coolant already mixed in. No noises whatsoever. I am panicked! I'm already living in my truck with all my possessions. I was trying to save gas money while looking for a safe place to park, so I borrowed the car. OMG, help me, please. If the bloc is not cracked, will fixing the heads be a good fix or just a bandaid. Do I need to do the right thing and replace her engine? I'm in central NJ... can you, somewhat, give me a ballpark figure for both jobs, so I know what to go by when I try to find someone to fix the car? I never thought I would be that beggar on the corner - but how else do I get the money? I suck at asking for favors, I would rather walk 10 mi than ask for a ride. She will be back June 27th. And I will have many new lessons to suffer thru. Please help me know what to do. Freefalling in NJ.

Well you probably blew the head gasket try my video how to tell if your head gets blowing up so it's a very expensive procedure pray it's something simpler do my video how to fix an overheating car for that

I am female but I grew helping Dad fix the car every weekend (yes, you and I are about the same age); it's what Dads do. And also why I love listening to your vids. Esp when we were in TX because you're frm NJ. The dipstick tells the ugly story, milky and orange like a creamsicle... it's beyond the gasket. Please, please read my question again... its the head job or engine decision. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Peggy
