07 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L V8, 150k miles automatic - wiper fluid, white smoke

Hey guys! I am needing some advice on my brother's tahoe. For whatever reason, the windshield wiper fluid won't squirt. It sounds like the mechanism is working and we can't find a leak. What would you recommend replacing? The 2nd issue is white smoke on startup. We recently changed the power steering hoses thinking that might be causing it but the white smoke still appears. Any advice/recommendations would be so helpful.

Don't replace anything unless it's broken. Check the spray nozzles' holes for clogs using a needle. Wax and debris can stop up the holes. You can have fluid, pressure, no leaks and still get no spray because they're clogged up.

Also, a needle can be used to adjust the spray pattern for better windshield coverage, just make sure the eyelets aren't fixed before attempting any adjustments.

Check that the washer pump is actually pumping. Check for clogs as well as leaks. (Check valves and spray nozzles would be prime suspects.)

One question per post please, per forum rules. You might want to start another topic regarding the white smoke, in particular giving details about where the smoke is coming from and how long it lasts. (Exhaust? Under the hood? Under the truck?)
