I have a 2008 Chevy Equinox Lt and I just hit 100k on the odometer. Shortly after my last oil change (and maybe hitting 5k on the tac for short bursts on a road trip) I noticed a jerk. It seems like the automatic cant decide between 4th and 5th gear when driving around 60 mph. On steep uphills its worse but I have learned to keep it from happening by punching it when im around 60mph and hear the rpms are close to a gear switch. The transmission fluid is clean and at the right level. I checked the plugs which are good and replaced all the fuel injectors. I cleaned the throttle body but although running smoother, the issue persists. Also the car has good and bad days. It'll jerk every acceleration one day and go 3 days straight no issues. Do I need a new transmission? Do I drive this car till it dies and just accept it?
