Hey Scotty love your channel

I just moved to the UK and bought a 08 Mini Cooper S with 61k miles, I'm getting blue smoke at idle when it's warm, not at cold start, looked at the PCV hose and there is some oil in it and there is some residue around that area on the valve cover, my tools haven't arrived in country for me to look at the turbo hoses yet but I'm going to change the valve cover because the PCV valve is built into it and it is the simplest and cheapest to change, if that doesn't fix it what would the next logical step be valve seals or guides? any advice would be appreciated and hopefully save me some money lol

Definitely get a compression test to check the rings and valve stem seals.  It could save you a lot of time.

I definitely will do thank you

Get rid of it. Those engines self destruct.

Can you still return it for a full refund?

No I bought it private party and since it only does it at extended idle I dident see this when I bought it
