10 Tundra Driver's Door Lock

I have a 2010 Tundra Double Cab. The driver's door lock will NOT unlock with the power lock switch or the remote. I replaced the Door Lock Actuator but... it's doing the same thing! What's next?

Did you test the motivator before replacing it? Have you tested the wiring going into the door?

From what I read, the actuator would have been the problem. Then I dug deeper when it didn't work and there is something else, but no one knows what it could be except maybe the BCM. I unplugged the batter for about 10 minutes to see if it would reset and that didn't work.  So, I thought maybe... just maybe someone has run into the problem before and knew how to repair it.

It would have been best of course to test that part with a 12V source to see if it was actually faulty before changing it.

I've seen this kind of problem quite a few times on a variety of vehicles. Usually the cause has been the door wiring because of years of flexing with the door opening and closing. Typically the driver's door will have problems first since it sees the most use.

Of course you may have another problem going on but it's good to check the simple stuff first.
