Hi Scotty,

If I have $10,000 to buy a camry, accord or fusion, what would be the highest mileage I should consider for each respectively? Thanks

@yaser is right. Mileage tells you how far the car has been...but that's it.

Maintenance is FAR more important and to really know the condition, you need a mechanic to check it out for you before you buy it. There are many high mileage cars out there that are solid....but I've seen some that, at 50k miles, were done due to owner neglect.

Other than mileage, there are so many factors that affect the car longevity. If you choose a right car which was well taken care of, even with 200k miles, it might have lots of life left in it. On the other hand, choosing a wrong car with much less mileage could be a bad decision....

With that being said, I would not consider Fusion at all.

Thanks @Yaser!

You're welcome. Search this forum and you find examples of good high mileage cars that still in a good shape with little problems.
