What are the highest mileage recommendations for your top 5 used car picks

I sold my car because I could no longer afford the payments on my loan.  I made $8,000 from the sale after paying off the loan.  I need a dependable used car but only have $9,500 to spend, including tax and title.

I am looking on FB Marketplace and Craigs List.  Obviously, most of the cars in my price range have high mileage.  My question is, on your top 5 picks, what would be the most miles I should strive for?

Thanks, Scotty, I really enjoy your wisdom.

Unfortunately $9k is not much for this market; it was before covid but unfortunately not now. In general with used cars it's age, mileage, and how well they've been taken care of. There can be a 50k mile Camry which has issues because it wasn't taken care of while there can be one with 150k miles that's okay to buy. How long do you plan to keep the car? How much will you be driving it? Daily driver for longer trips or just for short distance city driving? But I would say 150-200k miles at most.
