Looking to get a used Highlander, heard the 18' has transmission issues with the 8 speed, including a class action.
Any thoughts on this?
16' a better choice?
The apostrophe goes before the year number, not after it.

See below: Realize also long term reliability of the 8-speeds in the FWD Toyota vehicles not just Highlander (which have only been out for just a few years) is unknown. Personally if I was shopping for a Highlander I would go with the 2016 MY (model year) with 3.5L V6 and 6-speed AT and call it a day.

Get the older one. Anything after 2015 is a crap shoot.
