Anyone know about this sports car ?
they’re selling one near me ...
would be cool to know a little history.
Yes, if u like to tinker, never a first car. Low top speed...lousy Lucas electrical system. Bad heat or no heat, but fun toy. They are all over Florida. From 1000. Up. They slip on spit also, no weight.
Cool old car. Lots of charm. However, it’s pretty rare; not the kind of car you’re going to get parts at your local Autozone or have serviced by the corner garage. Usually when I see one it is just sitting in someone’s driveway covered in spiderwebs.
I would start by finding a service manual and do as much background research as possible. If you can find a regional club, even better; they’ll know who works on it and how to get parts.
Once you know what you are getting into you can decide whether to take the plunge.
Thanks
Old English sports cars? Not comfortable enough to be transportation, not reliable or fast enough to be a toy, but just right for a hobby. (Except for XKEs which are art/investments)
Thanks
While I think one of these old British sports cars would be cool to own (I did once own a Spitfire), I would take any version of the Miata everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. They have all of the good of these old cars, with none of the bad!
