Hey Scotty, i own a 1980 corvette with a L48 engine. I want to put in a better V8 engine. What engine should I put in that will last a really long time.

well I need V8 that fits is fine just make sure that it's either a new crate engine or a fully rebuilt one you put used engines in there always going to be a Gamble. If you don't want to spend a small fortune stick to the 350 engine

For the cheapest option, just beef up what you have. If you want more power, consider a 454 crate motor. Just realize if you change engine size, you have to change a fleet of other items such as the fuel system, transmission, rear end, etc. and it gets real expensive, real quick. Particularly on a Corvette.
