The brake booster diaphragm may be torn or you aren't getting proper vacuum to the booster.  Check the main vacuum line from the intake manifold to the booster for cracks or disconnect.

Possibly an internal leak in the master cylinder.

If i had a inside leak would it be loosin fluid on the reservoir??

Not necessarily. If the fluid is just leaking between front and back chambers you would not lose any.

Other possibilities include air in the system or old hoses expanding under pressure. (The car is nearly 40 years old. All the rubber brake hoses should be replaced if they're original.) As @Doc points out you may also be looking at a bad brake booster.
