Hi Scotty,
I own a 1985 Corvette with 140,000 miles on it here in Australia. I have an issue with it idling rough. It jumps around 300 to 700 rpm regularly at operational temperature but idles smoothly when cold. I have replaced all 8 Injectors, EGR and temp sensor, cleaned the throttle body, changed the evap valve, changed the O2 Sensor and coolant temp sensor but still have this problem. I have ruled out a vacuum leak as I can't find any.
The other issue I am having is my main cooling fan refuses to work. I have a new Relay installed, new cooling fan temp sensor and everything is plugged in. It won't even come on when I ground the diagnostic port under the dash as it's supposed to like I have done so in the past.
And ideas?
Liam.
Sounds like the fan motor itself is bad. Can you put 12 volts directly from battery to fan to see if it's bad? Check you PCV valve, It's probably old and non-operational.
