HI, during morning starting, during first 5 seconds, i can hear metal to metal engine parts grinding thereafter there's sufficient lubrication, i use high mileage synthetic oil as the car is well over 300 000km. Should i be concerned with over time wear of shafts and cams ? (winter season)

It's probably timing chain noise and needs replacement.

I can hear metal to metal grinding noises from my engine during starting in the morning for a good 5sec, i use high mileage synthetic oil
