This is an old beater truck I've had for 20 years plus. The mileage is unknown but it's got to
be over 200K. Noisy as hell. Started surging recently.
I've changed the return lines and hopefully found all the possible air leaks in the fuel system.
A local mechanic said they had a truck that rubbed the hard fuel lines on the chassis and cause
a pin hole air leak. The truck is still surging at various speeds. Any suggestions?
I love your videos and you

Well I do check to see if there's anything rubbed where air is getting sucked in. But you did say the thing is noisy as can be. A lot of that is just flat old age from internal engine wear. And especially the fuel injection pump on those old mechanical ones. Those things do just wear out over time. Any diesel mechanic could figure it out within an hour or so with a few tests
