Hello, I just recently purchased a 1987 Honda Accord LXI four-door sedan. It has 129,000 miles on it. It's been sitting for a while and I would like to know the steps to take to get it started and running. Thank you for your help. Have a great day.
how long exactly is "a while"? Have you tried starting it?

Air. Fuel. Spark.
Those are the basics to get a car going.
I would also inspect/change all the fluids, oil, transmission oil, coolant, power steering, brake, especially the gasoline.
Inspect the belts and hoses, and change if necessary.
Inspect and change the brakes if necessary.
I’m sure there is more. I’ve never done it myself, but have flirted with the idea for an old sitting Mazda Tribute.
