1988 Cadillac Eldorado stops randomly while driving! New battery! Restarts! Help!

Given that the car is nearly 40 years old it could be almost anything. It is probably an electrical problem. Load test your battery and alternator. (New parts can be bad.) Carefully check your wiring to the battery and alternator for corrosion and deterioration. Check your fuel pump. (How old are your fuel and air filters?) Test your ignition switch.
