I have the subject line car with 51K miles. It is a auto w/overdrive. Just recently I have had problems with starting the car. It fires right up and then just dies when the engine is cold. If I start it and throttle up the RMPs to about 2500 and hold for about 30 sec it will allow me to throttle down to idle and it will hold but runs rough. I took it out on the road and when accelerating it started to "surge" randomly and then stalled out. I got it back to my garage and haven't had it on the road since (about a week ago). Also, when car gets warmer it starts to smell like it is running hot but temp gauges never get to middle. What do you think?
Thanks,

Fuel filter, injectors.
Thanks Doc. I'll take a look.
Hi Doc. Changed out fuel filter and no change. I can hear the fuel pump when I cycle the key. Should I check the fuel pressure and regulator? Should all vehicles measure a 40psi +/- 5 to read normal? Thanks.
Yes, check the pressure with a gauge.
