I am new to this forum. Really enjoy your knowledge, advice and auto repair guidance.

My 32-year-old son, Joel, suddenly passed away recently from cardiac arrest, leaving me is collector imported 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R. It is a BNR32 Series right hand drive car, with the RB26DETT engine, 2.6L cast iron block with aluminium heads, twin cam, dual turbo. It was in storage, in mint condition, with the original 82,000 kms on the clock, and every system operating perfectly.

I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. With the assistance of a Nissan dealership, I was able to obtain the original OEM specification products, and changed/replaced all drivetrain fluids.

The only problem was the engine oil. OEM is 7.5W30, which is not available here. Do you advise a 5W30 or a 10W30 synthetic as a suitable replacement?
