75,000 miles. No codes with the paper clip trick. Has new battery, new starter. Teeth on both starter and flywheel look good. Started and ran great for three or four trips. Then would not start, makes loud noise (more like rattling or knocking than grinding or clicking) for a couple seconds then seizes. Help?
Sounds like the starter, though new, is defective and grinding against the flexplate/flywheel. Hope you got it with a limited, lifetime warranty.
maybe try turning the crankshaft by hand. take out the spark plugs to make it a little easier
Did that. She cranks by hand and a few turns when trying to start. whish I could upload a video for you all to hear.
Did you hear the noise then?
You should upload your video to Youtube and give us the link.
