Hey Scotty! I have a 1990 corvette base model. Having trouble with the VAT system. The small round black chip on the key has gone bad. The mechanic is telling me I’m pretty much stranded....Is there a way to bypass the VAT system?
The VAT on the C4 Corvette is a pain in the rear.
BUT....there are ways around it. I've installed a TON of these:

It is in stock and I can vouch for the website....order a lot of parts through there. It is also hidden away when installed so thieves won't even know it is there. It works off of your key value, which they tell you how to get. This exact bypass is for key value 4, but they carry them all.
Just make SURE you get your key value BEFORE you order
