Hi, I have recently bought a 91 Honda Accord. And recently the battery light came on. Then a couple days later my tachometer and rpm meter started doing this jumpy thing (not always) but when I would hit the gas. And my riado would all of a sudden turn off. So I bought a new battery yesterday. And it wouldn't start yesterday so I bought a new battery and it started right up. This morning I went to go to work and it wouldn't start. When I got home from work I took off the battery terminals and replaced them and it started right up again. I don't know what's wrong please help me. My thought is it's the alternator but I don't want to buy one if I don't need to. Thank you

If you replaced the battery terminals and it started right up, odds are it was that - those are common to corrode on older Hondas. For the alternator, go to any big auto parts store (AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, etc.) and they can load test the alternator for free. If the alternator checks out good, inspect the wiring going to the alternator. If that is corroded or frayed, you would want to get that fixed.
