So I'm honestly asking what you think of Resto mods as I'm completely disenchanted by what is currently available on the market, I get that technology has its perks but I can no longer work on this stuff myself and I see that as a problem.

what's a resto mod?
I'm not too clear what your question is. Are you looking for a new vehicle?
"A resto-mod is a classic car that has been restored, but modified with modern parts and technology. Aesthetically, the vehicle looks the same until you look under the hood or reach for the radio."
Ahh. Well if don't want to learn any new technologies, then I guess you just have to plug things in and pray that they work. Or hire someone with the know-how to do it for you.
If you have the knowhow, money, and/or time to do a resto mod, I say go for it.
It doesn't matter if anyone else is doing it. Or if anyone else likes your car.
As long as you like it, that is all that matters.
