Gday from Australia Scotty,
I’m looking for a first time car and I’ve found a 1991 Toyota Celica advertised on Facebook Marketplace for $9500 Australian. 211,420 kms clocked. Owner has listed as all in working order (except for AC which he says isn’t blowing cold which I suspect could be low refrigerant or busted compressor). I’m yet to go check the vehicle out but I thought I’d get your opinion on the car before I do. Is it worth looking into for the price? I’m a big fan of the reliability Toyota brings however I’m conscious of the age of the car so is it worth my while?
Thanks Scotty, love your videos and keep up the great work as always!
No. Too old and too much money. Find a newer Corolla or Civic.
Wayyy too much money!
Especially as a first car, it might be too old to daily, too.
If you can get it dirt cheap (<AUD2500), it might be a fun weekend project car, provided you can find parts for it.
Still, since this will be your first car and if it’ll be your daily driver, I’m with @yaser on this one.
the seller is waiting for a sucker.
Don't be that sucker.
