I have a 1992 Honda accord with 123,000 on the meter. I bought it for 5k and it has been having some issues. Sometimes it takes about 30 seconds to actually speed up after presssing down the gas pedal. I checked my Trandsmission fluids and they are full. What should I do???

Does the engine rev up and the car doesn't move? If so your automatic transmission is probably toast. If that is the case you should junk the car since the cost of transmission replacement will exceed the value of a 31-year-old Accord.

On the other hand if the engine is not revving up then you need to clean the throttle body, start checking into clogged filters, possible weak fuel pump or clogged injectors, check spark plugs, test for clogged catalytic converter, and verify engine condition with compression and leakdown tests.

This is a crazy world of car prices when a 30 year old Honda Accord goes for 5K!!!

Last I checked,  My ~25 year old Accord is supposedly only worth $1,000 if that.

Just because somebody paid a price for something doesn't mean it's worth that

It's pretty evident that he grievously overpaid for that car and got stuck with a lemon on top of it.
