I have a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder with the 3.0 liter v6, four wheel drive, and a five speed standard transmission and 192000 miles. When i'm sitting at a stop, sometimes first gear will grind and I can feel the shock go though the shifter. My grandpa bought it two months ago, and I recently bought it from him. What could it be?

The clutch might be worn out.

No, I don't think so, the previous owner put a new clutch in it, the clutch is light and easy to use but I could be wrong.
