1994 honda del sol vtec 5 speed manual
Hi Scotty ive been enjoying your YouTube videos. i was recently given my dad's always garaged Honda. It had 90,000 miles on it. i live in San Fran and dad lives in LA i have driven it 3,000 miles since i got it and mostly only on highway 5 going to LA (4,500 rpm on cruise control 79mph) on my way home this last trip it started sputtering (it was pretty violent) more like some sort of intermittent fuel feeling ) out of the blue.this only lasted 5-10 seconds and then ran fine the rest of the way home. then after i got off the freeway at a stop light its idle hunting between .8 and 1.5 rpm up and down... also i have noticed every once in awhile in 2nd gear it lurches accel and decelerates and you'll need to either put your foot into it or depress the clutch to get it to stop... from looking around on internet searches I'm thinking is the IACV ??? I HOPE YOU ARE WELL you are amazing and I've learned so much from you thank you for all that you do.
Well their idke control systems break down all the time I would suspect they had first. But if it hasn't dates while you're driving down the road off and that's a clogged fuel filter or a fuel pump that's starting to wear out, which you can pressure test
