I poured a little gas into the throttle area and it starts then dies. I hear the fuel pump and the fuel filter is new.

Where are whether you hear the pump or not? You should put a pressure gauge to see if the pump is working. But if the pump is working then you have a problem with fuel injection system not spraying fuel and that can get complicated

Next to the gas tank. Where would I hook up a pressure tester I can't seem to find a port.

There should be a port on the fuel rail.
