The Lincoln Mark VIII is a fancy version of the older Ford Thunderbird. The price of that vehicle isn't bad. Have a good mechanic look over that car.
It can be a reasonably ok weekend toy. Do not daily drive it- it's a 27 year old car.
Also, make sure that the mileage is exact.

Sure, why not? Its lasted this long, take care of it, do the proper maintenance and it will last a long time. Some of the naysayers here always deride the older cars as not being dependable. Thats only an opinion. Check all the newer cars on the site with problems. Will you have to replace worn parts? Sure, so what? nothing man made lasts fore-ever. buy it, enjoy it. Nice big comfortable car. Room for you and all your stuff. MPG? Who cares? If you want high MPG, buy a rice burner, puddle jumper and feel like a sardine in a can.
