I have used Nissan Murano 2012, bought back 4 months from local dealer. Initially had battery problem (five year old) got new one replaced last month…everything was fine until last week and car didn’t start (it’s in garage). When try to start, turns on ACC, ON but not ignition/engine. After initial cranking then buzzing/hissing noise that last for few seconds.
Diagnostics done, all sensors run green and fuel pump looks like the issue, one mechanic said could be auto starter or electrical as he wasn’t sure so I called second one and no electrical problems found but he said it’s fuel pump. Now I was looking online for parts it’s says electric fuel pump assembly (location: left) and then I saw fuel transfer unit (location: right). Buzzing / Hissing noise comes from right side underneath the car. My gas tank is on left side. What could be exact issue?
Well noises can travel it's hard to pinpoint them but if noise is coming from the back of the car the only thing back there when you're trying to start it is the fuel pump. It was a bad start or something noise would come from the front of the car where the engine is
