I'm not sure if you mean to say that it's Ford's biggest recall of all time or the largest recall of all time for a single manufacturer, but it is certainly not the latter. The Chevrolet faulty engine mount recall involved 6.68 million vehicles. The Takata airbag fiasco on the other hand overall has affected tens of millions of vehicles of many makes and models.
I don't think much of it. Plenty of automakers were hit by Takata recalls.
My 20 year old Honda was hit by this recall. It’s industry wide.
With that said, one would think that they would have solved the problem by now.
