Hey Scotty, been watching you for years. Great Channel 👍.

I picked up a 2005 ford explorer sport trec XLT for 500 bucks and its in great shape! starts, runs and drives fine but 10 mins later the engine runs rough (shakes) for 3 mins or so then stalls out, I can't keep it going by pressing the gas peddle. Idle rpms are sitting at 1k and code p1233 with engine light on.

Also burning more fuel then usual. Smell of gas on the passenger side (above the cat).

Previous owner had the following parts replaced by a shop.Β

Fuel filter, engine coolent temperature sensor, fuel pump module assembly, spark plugs and fuel pump driver module.

I cleaned the MAF and ran thinner in the gas. Truck was running fine for about 1/4 of a tank of gas (ran it until the gas light came on) and put regular fuel in and the truck started acting up again with the same symptoms. I reset the big red button under the passenger side that resets the fuel. Oh and I replaced the crankshaft sensor.

236,000 kilometers, automatic

Well either your fuel pump module has gone bad. That's what the code is for or the fuel pump itself is shot. More often. It's the module
