1998 Olds Regency Acceleration

I’ve got a 98’ Olds Regency with a GM 3800 SII. The car has 76,000 miles and I’m the second owner.  The car runs great but the acceleration can get sluggish or hesitant.  This especially happens as I’m turning at a stop light where the car feels like it wants to hesitate as I’m making a turn.  Also when the car is facing downward on a hill the gas guage shows less fuel in the tank than what is really available. If I rev the car up higher while idling it will eventually make a sputtering noise.

Any ideas?  I’ve changed the fuel filter and the fuel pressure regulator. I was gonna do a fuel pressure test as well but don’t know what normal pressure would be for this car. Fuel pump? A mechanic told me it could be the cam sensor but I’m not sure about that. The car is not throwing any codes or lights on the dash.

Thanks for any and all help.

Where are there so many things? I can do that but since you have no codes I would say the fuel pump. Because the car doesn't know what fuel pressure is so if it's low it won't trip any codes cuz that car's too old to have any of those sensors on it.
