My wife and I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara we purchased new. We never really had any major issues with the car aside from a brake issue (wife has a heavy foot) and other than typical maintenance. The car has 160,000 miles on it, wife had traveled a lot for work with the car. Well unfortunately we found out that the transmission is on it's way out and were quoted $7k for a brand new one w/ 100k mile warranty.
What's your thoughts on having this repaired ? Or should we call it quits with the Jeep. My wife loves the car, we were kind of hoping it would last a few more years and hand it down to one of our daughters as their first car.
The new cars nowadays aren't really that appealing to us and are insanely over priced with too many electronics.
should we call it quits with the Jeep.
Yes you should. Jeeps are not very well made cars. The transmissions on your model are well known for failing. People are reporting that the replacement transmissions they get are lasting a year.
