My engine will crank over and over and will start eventually but it takes a while. It will run consistently after starting for hours as long as you do not shut it off, and it doesnt seem to have any misfires or power issues. If I shut it off after cranking it a couple times and return after 10 minutes or so it tends to start but is not always consistent. I do not have any codes showing at the present time. I researched that it could be the oxygen sensor possibly, or the camshaft position sensor, and maybe even the crankshaft position sensor. I have not tried anything to fix it as of yet as I just started researching the vehicle. Does anyone have any experience in this specific matter on this model? I would appreciate any help that I may receive.
I've heard that the oxygen sensor can be a problem with those, but there could be an ignition issue with the starter, these also sometimes failed. It could also be a bad fuel pump that will do this, I'm not very experienced with these particular GM V6 engines but those are some of the things I know of that could go wrong with these cars related to a starting issue. Maybe try having a scan tool plugged in while you're starting the car to see if there is any data that is too much or too little, doing that may also trip a code so you could possibly get an idea of what's going on.
